light overtakes darkness

i  heard a story once about the sea lions cave on the oregon coast...you walk down into the cave where many sea lions play...it's so dark you cannot see...then the guide lights 1 match and the entire cave blossoms with light...and all from just 1 lit match!  well, today is like that...the sun is shining, it a clear crisp feeling outside, and it is our precious little grand daughter's, rylee's,  2nd  birthday. unfortunately she is still not feeling well, but as all 2 year olds do, they recuperate well, so by the weekend when auntie esther arrives i imagine her energy will be back to normal.

my goodness...the sun is out...a lovely day.  with everything that we have been going through...our rainbow is out bringing the newness of hope:) our son-in-law's brother and his family are here...what a wonderful blessing they are.  rylee played all morning with her cousins, it was pure joy to hear her laughing and enjoying life!   i  have come to treasure these moments... to me they are pure gold. we will have a glorious time...a time to relax...a time to play...to everything there is a season. thank you Lord! 

some days are sunny...some days are blue

this is a blue day...our precious daughter is going in for her surgery.  amazing, with all the rain and not the usual spring weather, today it is a beautiful sunny morning.  it's as if God was shining his light down, right here in gresham oregon, just for our daughter...oh my yes...God is very good.  dear Lord, please protect our darling...be with her loved husband, and adorable daughter...may today go exceedingly well! in all things...give thanks...so i thank you dear Lord. 

great sadness

early this morning we learned that our little grand-baby now lives in heaven with our creator.  when i was thinking of what to choose for the title of my blog...all i could think of was how God is always creating and i have been blessed to belong to Him and see His wonders, the result being "in the midst of creation".  so, as i write this, my heart is heaving with great sadness, tears streaming from my eyes, from my soul. one thing that i focus all of my energy on is that God is Good...He has a plan for me...for my beautiful pain stricken daughter and  son-in-law.  may God give us His strength...   

parties...and...challenges

today was the first of several parties for our special little granddaughter rylee:) lots of fun...but...for the mommy, our baby, amy who is 8 weeks pregnant it was filled with challenges.  amy has been very sick and tonight it has become even more so than before, so her husband is taking her to the hospital.  she probably just needs some iv fluids...and i hope that will help her to feel better...but in the mean time we wait...patience, something i have never been very good at. Dear Lord...be with all of us!

it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood:)

yes...it's a lovely pacific northwest "rainy" morning...filled with promise!  nothing better than sharing it with friends...especially my bff,, sheryl who made a lovely tea for myself and our friend merry who also just celebrated her birthday!  our chat's are wonderful and rejuvenating! i look forward to our wednesday mornings and hope that soon vickie and lynelle can join in on the fun:)

my birthday...my first posting

not without standing...i am taking the plunge into the blogging world:) today, being my birthday, i decided it was time to jump in and make my first post! 

it's been a lovely day...the sun is out...lots of wonderful friends and family to celebrate!  i was totally spoiled (loved every minute of it) and blessed beyond what words could ever express. so much to be grateful for...God is Good!
